I have owned this surf casting rod for about five years, and fished it, literally, from the Bering Sea (Dutch Harbor, Alaska), to the tip of Baja (Cabo, Mexico), and soon south to Sayulita, Mexico. It is a 'marvelous' long casting instrument! Good balance, excellent components, and plenty of backbone. Besides being a beautiful piece of equipment to look at, it performs significantly better than several other casting rods I have owned, including a couple 'big name'/'big $$' competitors. Paired with an Avet MX casting reel, the D-Blue 11'4"M is a pleasure to fish! Incidentally, the folks at the company were, in my experience, customer oriented and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend D-Blue.

Great as a pikeflyrod

I would not reorder these hooks. The company does not understand sizes nor customer service. I ordered 4/0 hooks and received 6/0 hooks. However, when I complained, I was told there is no standard size and that was their 4/0 hook. I will never recommend any company that don't realize standardized hook sikzes nor stand behind an obvious mistake. They don't know what they are selling. Contact me and I will be happy to send a photo of a normal mustad ultra point 4/0 hook compared to what they sell as a 4/0 hook

this is my second d-blue rod. I bought this one for fluke seabass and porgies its one of the nicest rods I ever fished. I have lamiglass rods but the action on these rods have been great. I highly recommend that you try one of these rods you will love it like I do.

Looking for #40 dbsg ti sic

I've have fished with this rod from river banks and the Jersey coast for 3 years. The rod has held up well and the finish is great. It has the backbone to handle stripers , yet it is sensitive enough to pick up pesky bait stealer bites. I would recommend this rod to anyone.

I haven't used this 4 section rod but I'll tell you I've fished more than half my life and I can tell you that this is garbage if you get something with some size its going to break compared to a 1 or a 2 PC. Rod I'm not going to buy it nor should you. I used a rod something like this in china and that was junk too and not because it was made in china it was JUNK TOO were not talking about lumber!
